Old friends all know that our family's monthly and even annual expenses are very low.
But we are not living the dull, monotonous, and boring life that netizens imagine.
In my experience our life is quite colorful and full of laughter.
At the age of 38, I may not be good at playing with my phone, spending money, or socializing, but I am particularly good at living a happy life at a low cost. Have you tried this before? Share your story!
Today, I want to share what we do when we are not working or studying, and when we are not using our phones? Don't forget to share your experience!

1) Our family has recently added a book sharing club!
A while ago, I read a very favorite book called 'Life Will Always Have Answers'.
I haven't finished reading the book yet, but I really want to share it with my husband and friends.
But to put it simply, this book is good, but I feel like it lacks some meaning.
And I don't just want to share this book, I also want to explore the life issues that each of us may encounter mentioned in the book. What do you think about this?
Suddenly, I had an idea: why not hold a regular book sharing session.
Whether with a gentleman or a friend, each of them should share a book they like.
And share your thoughts, reflections, and confusions during the reading process, and let's discuss and explore together.
I explained this idea to the gentleman, and he immediately raised his hands and feet in agreement.
We also quickly organized a book sharing session with only two people.
Although there were only two people, the scene was still very lively.
I have my own thoughts, he has his own perceptions.
Two hours passed quickly, but we were still unsatisfied.
In these two hours, we just drank some tea.
Zero cost, but very happy.
And this happiness didn't disappear just because the sharing ended, it actually lasted for several days.

2) Earlier, we also had an impromptu program.
What would your life be like if it were made into a movie?
This inspiration comes from the podcast 'After School'.
After listening to this program, I really want to imagine what it would be like to make a movie about my life, and what it would be like to make a movie about my husband's life. Have you tried this before? Share your story!
At that time, we were discussing at night, and the gentleman's part alone took an hour and a half, almost delaying the opportunity to go to bed early. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
We start with childhood memories, from elementary school, middle school, college, first love, and now life... There are moments of laughter, moments of embarrassment, moments of tears, and many emotions and regrets. Don't forget to share your experience!
Very happy and profound.
This experience also made me realize that looking back at the past can help us better move towards the future.
The gentleman said afterwards that he had never objectively looked at his life in this way, and taking this opportunity, he could be considered to have reviewed the first half of his life. Don't forget to share your experience!
And seeing the shortcomings of the first half of his life made him more aware of what he needed to do next. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
In his words, he was excited inside for several days.

3) On weekends and holidays, we are striving to visit historic places in our city and nearby cities.
I have been particularly interested in places with stories and history recently.
At first, I became interested in the story of the King of Nanyue because of Ma Boyong's book 'The Southern Eaters'. Don't forget to share your experience!
I went to the Nanyue Palace and the Nanyue King's Tomb.
Then I realized that there wasn't much that looked good before, but after the explanation, it immediately came to life.
It's like the South Vietnamese palace. I heard someone nearby say that there's nothing particularly attractive about just a few canals and wells. Don't forget to share your experience!
I used to think so too.
But after listening to the explanation, I immediately felt the wisdom and elegance of the ancients.
For example, a small slope next to the canal was designed specifically for turtles to bask in the sun, because there are many turtles in the canal, and turtles do not always like to stay in the water. What do you think about this?
Is it very loving? Anyway, I was immediately moved.
Later, when I went to Ersha Island, I unexpectedly discovered that there was actually a Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum hidden here. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
It introduces the historical story of the Western colonizers who launched a frenzy of selling "piglet" Chinese laborers in China after the Opium War. Don't forget to share your experience!
Selling piglets is not just a modern story.
Last weekend, we went to the reopened "Five Immortals Ancient Temple" and learned that the reason why Guangzhou is called Yangcheng and Suicheng is due to a mythical story that dates back over 2000 years. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
This view was also born from this mythological story. After the reconstruction and reconstruction of various dynasties, it has been maintained to this day. What do you think about this?
These fun and interesting places only require a 10 yuan ticket for the Nanyue King's Tomb, while others are free.
So, we often don't spend much money on weekends and holidays, but we still live a fulfilling and happy life!
